The sack was thin some places and thick and very strong other places. One place, see picture (I have placed the thickest part over a turned over black bucket), it was several millimeters thick, and looking and feeling like silicon or jelly. It did not break by itself when the foal was born, luckily I came in time to break it before the foal suffocated.

Placenta. To the left and the right are the horns, which mystically are about the same size, usually the non pregnant horn is much smaller. I cannot tell here which one was the pregnant horn. Upper, left part of picture is where the foal came out.

Same object, just a different angle. The two horns at the top.

Here I have cut open the placenta and spread it out. One horn (to the right in the picture) is dark red/lila velvet, the other horn is brown and slimy and looks bad. The body of the placenta (upper left of picture is brown with red splotches.

Close up of the latter. The hole from the foaling is at the bottom in the picture.

A cod liver like "thing" was found in the placenta. It felt and looked just like a liver. It weighted about 60 grams.

Same "thing".
